My new purse has arrived at last! It's a lot longer and bigger than I expected, more like a messenger bag than a purse in my estimation, but it should hold my stuff and maybe having the weight distributed differently will be easier on my shoulders. My current purse is about seven to eight years old and has reached the point where it can't be mended anymore. In the last few years I've sewed the strap back on for each side, and now one side is held together by about four threads and the leather around it is too weak for more. Yesterday I took the subway and a bus for the first time since February to see a doctor in Manhattan. While there were fewer people on the train both to and from, on the way back there were still too many people for distancing.
